Helping Others, Providing Encouragement
We all need hope: "Hope deferred makes the heart sick" (Proverbs 13:12). The Bible, particularly in the Psalms, speaks much of hope: "Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise Him, my salvation and my God" (Psalm 42:11). "For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from Him" (Psalm 62:5). "You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your Word" (Psalm 119:114). What's the conclusion? God is the only One in whom we ought to place our hope! And once we know Him, and we come to understand His love for all people, we embrace whatever opportunities He gives us to Help Others and Provide Encouragement.
